Cinnamon Pear Oatmeal

Introduction:

Looking for the Pear-fect breakfast? Try this healthy Cinnamon Pear Oatmeal

Ingredients:

1 pear, chopped⠀
2 tbsp water⠀
1/4 tsp cinnamon ⠀
1/3 cup oats⠀
2/3 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or any other milk of your choosing)⠀
1 tsp maple syrup

Instructions:

Stove top option: Add the pear, water, and cinnamon to a small pot. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 4-6 minutes, stirring a few times, until the pears begin to become tender. Then add the oats, milk, and maple syrup. Bring back to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes until oats are tender. Make sure to stir a few times throughout cooking so it doesn't stick to the bottom of the pot and burn.⠀

Microwave option: Add the pear, water, and cinnamon to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 2-3 minutes until the pears are tender. Stir in the oats, maple syrup, and milk. Microwave for 1.5 minutes. Stir and microwave for another 1-1.5 minutes or until tender.
